Meet the Pet
This helps Adopt Korean Rescue - Vancouver with pet care costs.
Meet Emma, a sweet and petite five-year-old spayed female mixed breed with a charming brown and white coat. Weighing just 5.2kg, Emma’s journey began in 2021 when she and her buddy Kanu were rescued from the city pound just before the euthanasia. Since then, Emma has blossomed into a loving, gentle companion ready to find her forever home.
Emma is a social butterfly who loves people—familiar faces and strangers alike! She’ll happily trot over, nuzzle up to you, and let you pet her right away. Once she feels extra comfortable, she’ll roll over and show you her belly, inviting you to give her some well-deserved belly rubs. Emma isn’t picky about her friends—she adores both men and women and hasn’t met children under 13 yet, but her affectionate and playful nature suggests she’d handle them wonderfully.
When it comes to other dogs, Emma gets along well without any trouble, but her heart truly belongs to humans. She prefers dogs her size and avoids larger or overly energetic playmates. If another dog gets a little too rowdy, Emma is quick to step aside and stay out of the chaos, keeping her interactions polite and friendly.
Emma’s energy level is delightfully low, making her the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys calm, peaceful moments. She’s a pro at walking on a leash and loves her daily strolls. She’s more interested in sniffing her surroundings than covering distance, so walks with Emma involve plenty of stops to take in the world around her. Her impeccable leash manners and relaxed attitude make her an absolute joy to walk.
While Emma isn’t possessive about food, she might occasionally let out a quiet growl to claim the first bite. She’s comfortable spending time alone and doesn’t have separation anxiety, though she does enjoy being the center of attention when people are around, sometimes letting out soft, attention-seeking barks. Thankfully, her voice is so gentle it won’t disturb the peace. Emma is crate-trained, quiet when kenneled, and mostly prefers doing her business outdoors.
With her gentle personality and easygoing energy, Emma is a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and explore the world one sniff at a time. Could Emma be the perfect match for you?
