Arizona is one tough cookie! We don`t have a full picture of her history, but she definitely deserves a soft landing. We are seeking a very special companion-only home for this very sweet mare. She is blind in her left eye and has a club left front foot, so she does need some specialized farrier care and a bit of extra support navigating new spaces.
Arizona has gained almost 200 pounds in our care in just a matter of months. She takes eating very seriously! She is very low in the herd order, so she would do best in a small herd/pairing with a very docile and kind fellow horse.
Arizona leads calmly to and from turn out in just a regular halter and cotton lead rope. She is a flexible horse who has easily lived outside 24/7 with access to a run-in shed as well as come into a stall at night with day turnout. She is generally very quiet and easy going both in her stall and her paddock, but she he won`t say no to a good romp in her paddock every once in a while, too! Arizona has been turned out with both mares and geldings and is currently doing well with Starlight, one of our older quiet geldings.
Arizona can be groomed, bathed, and fly sprayed. She still needs a bit of TLC as he has a bad case of rain rot, but with consistent grooming and access to shelter, it should clear up in time. She does love to be doted on!
Arizona stands well for the farrier and for vet care. She is up to date on all vet and farrier care and is ready to find her person! If that might be you please click the inquire button above and fill out an inquiry for a horse or farm animal.
