My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady is a recent arrival to the FFAA family! This roly poly girl is not as big as she looks - her thick, plush coat is doing a lot of heavy labor there. This sweetheart was found as as stray along with her travel companion/ride-or-die, "Mister," a male husky also currently looking for his furever home through Faithful Friends. Although as sweet as can be, when Lady showed up as a stray in her savior's life with a lovely smile and a penchant for chicken murder and consumption, her rescuer was glad to send her off in hopes of finding her a perfect (poultry-free) home!

Despite being a husky, a breed known to be independent and even aloof, Lady is definitely a social butterfly. She LOVES love and her jovial, enthusiastic presence is always appreciated. She's had a great time making friends with staff, volunteers, and interested applicants.

We are in the process of finding Lady some canine friends for playgroup time outside of her longtime bestie Mister, but it's clear that when they interact (and even clearer when the timer for their playgroup slot runs out) that for her, he's the only dog in the world. They miss each other due to being too large to kennel safely together, and we're glad that their playtime is spent together, but boy do they have some sad sad songs to sing when they're separated after.

While we don't neccesarily see evidence of Mister and Lady being truly, clinically "bonded," it is clear that for however long these two huskies have been together, the connection they've built is strong. We hope that a miracle adopter will come along with space in their heart and home for the both of them together, but we understand that placing one adult dog is a challenging, much less two together. We will continue to cross our fingers and paws, however.

If you'd like to come meet Lady and her boytoy, Mister, please stop by! FFAA is open Wed-Fri 12-7 and Sat-Sun 10-4 - we are closed Mondays & Tuesdays. If you've got any questions, shoot an email to adopt.ffaa@gmail.com. Alternatively, fill out our online application on our website! https://www.ffaaneosho.org/

More about this shelter

Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization committed to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues.

We fulfill these goals by taking in homeless and vulnerable animals, rehabilitating, vetting, and preparing them for their future home, and ensuring that they are a good fit for those interested. Our goal is longevity - we are thorough when approving applications because we want their next home to be forever.

Our pledge to the animals under our charge knows no time limits. Our no-kill mission means that as long as it takes, we will keep searching for their perfect home. And if during that search, they need to rejoin our care, we welcome them with open arms no matter how long it has been.

People
From our paid staff to volunteers that support us at events and throughout the week, the dedicated and passionate community members that are involved in FFAA's mission are what keep us going. We always welcome new faces! If you are interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us. We could not do it without our foster families, dog walkers, kennel cleaners, puppy and kitten socializers, event organizers, artists, chefs - everything we do is a group effort and thanks to the time and effort given freely and faithfully year after year.
