My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Florence is a playful little guy that`s looking for an adopter committed to giving him the good life. He`s got a cute little hop when he walks due to a compression of his vertebra, but he`s not letting that slow him down at all! Just make sure to stay on top of vet visits and joint supplements and Florence will be sure to show you his sweet, cuddly side. While here at HSC, he got to meet a couple dog friends and seems to prefer dogs that match his playstyle, and maybe not too many dogs all at once as he can get just a little scared of that.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.

HSC is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and we do not receive government funding.
