My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yogi Bear is ready for snuggling up to his new family. He`s a pretty chill guy, preferring to take life at his own pace so he can stop and sniff the whole world. While in a foster home, he got to meet a big dog friend and after a little time settled into a comfortable routine, so with a slow intro he can meet a new friend. Yogi recently had to have some teeth pulled, so he`ll need a little time to recoup after that and will have to stay on top of vet visits in the future to make sure his remaining pearly whites stay pearly white!

We do same day adoptions. Adoptions are first-come, first-serve. Bring valid ID, and payment. We do not place animals on hold.

The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.
