My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Herbie!

Herbs is on the hunt for a forever home. Herbie came to us back in the fall of 2023, and stole our hearts day one. He is a spunky pitbull mix with an estimated birthday of 9/1/2018. Sadly, when Herbie entered our care, he was diagnosed with heartworms. This meant that Herbs had to go through several months of treatment, but we are happy to announce he now has a clean bill of health and is heartworm negative! Now that Herbie is healthy, he is ready to live his life to the fullest. He loves going on walks and getting all the attention he can get, and he is such a ham! He loves to meet all kinds of people, and is so happy to just be involved. Herbie is outgoing and loveable, he would love nothing more than to make as many friends as he can. He does well with other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. He loves to play in spite of his senior age, and does best with dogs who can keep up. He also does well with kids, but tends to be too high energy for younger ones, so kids over 10 are probably best. He also does great with cats, and thinks of them as little playmates! Herbie is, on top of being a socialite, very smart! He responds to his name, and knows basic commands such as "sit" and "paw".

Herbie is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is sponsored.
