My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yeti came home with us on our "Clear the LA Shelters" Transport - a way for us rescues up in the PNW to help make space for those pets displaced by the L.A. fires.

Yeti was found as a stray in California, and now we are going to make sure he has his very best life in the PNW!

Yeti looks a bit terrier, some see some poodle, but whatever his makeup is, it is 100% cute! He is approximately 1 year old and is only 12 lbs.

Yeti has great happy energy, and got along with everyone on the transport and has fit right in with kids and the resident small dogs at his foster home!

Yeti's coat was in sad condition when he was rescued, (leading to his name - a hairy mess!) he had to have several matts shaved off and had some hot spots to heal from the poor condition of his coat. He is so adorable and charming, and with good care and time, Yeti is ready to shine.

Yeti will be neutered and brought up to date on his vaccines as a part of his adoption donation.

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
