Meet Coco, a sweet and affectionate girl looking for her forever home. After being found as a stray, running loose in the park for over a week, she has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find a family of her own where she can continue to thrive. Coco is a loving and loyal companion who enjoys nothing more than curling up in your lap for long, cozy cuddles. Though she is a little shy when meeting new people out and about, she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable.
Coco is housetrained and doing her best to acclimate to crate training, but she’ll need someone patient who’s willing to work with her. She can also be a bit nervous when left alone, so she would do best with someone who can help her build confidence in this area. Ideally, Coco would thrive with a family who is home often and can give her all the love and attention she craves. If you work from home, Coco would be a great match as she loves hanging out on the sofa in her foster mom’s office while she works, enjoying the company and relaxing nearby.
Currently, Coco lives with two other dogs and gets along well with them. While she’s not much of a player, she enjoys peaceful co-existence with calm, respectful dogs who won’t crowd her space. She also does well in the car, so if you enjoy trips or outings, Coco would be a great travel companion!
Coco recently had an amputation of her back right leg. Her new family will need to be committed to providing the care and support she needs as she heals, but with the right care, we’re confident she’ll continue to improve. Tripod dogs are resilient and Coco is adapting with grace and courage, learning to get around just as if she had four legs.
If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion and have the time and patience to help her continue to grow, Coco could be the perfect fit for your family. She’s ready to settle into a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and supported. Could that be with you?
