My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goose, a lovable 12-year-old gentleman whose parents are moving to Germany this Spring. He just turned 12, but do not let his age fool you-he is still spunky and spry! He is a sweetheart who is good with kids, other dogs, is potty trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash.

Goose is used to having a fenced-in yard but prefers the company of his family. His ideal family homeschools, works from home, or is a retired individual. His stomach is a touch sensitive, particularly to chicken, and he does well with a fish based diet.

He is up to date on all vaccines and receives routine heartworm prevention. Goose is looking for a warm and welcoming home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and care.

If you have space in your heart and home for Goose, reach out to Ashlan at ashlan.r.burns@gmail.com to learn more about this wonderful companion and inquire about adoption. He certainly deserves it!

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
