Jekyll is a sweet and sensitive boy looking for a patient and understanding home. He can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but with gentle encouragement and a few yummy treats, he'll warm up quickly and shower you with affection. Jekyll loves to be petted and will lean in for more! He's very bonded to his kennelmate, Hyde, and they are hoping to find a home together! Jekyll is still learning about the world outside of the kennel, so he'll need a family who can help him with leash training and basic manners, as he's not yet leash trained and can be a strong puller. Despite his initial shyness, Jekyll has a playful side and enjoys exploring new places with his best friend by his side. He's a loyal companion who will bring lots of love and joy to your home!! Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours. For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Meet the Pet

At the shelter, adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.

Take the Pet Home

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adopters will not be able to submit applications to adopt animals in advance, or place adoption holds on animals.
For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours.
For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.
We will be unable to assist with pet-to-pet meets. Please keep your furry friends at home, adoptable pets will not be able to meet resident pets at the shelter.
Prepare enough time for your visit. Adopters should expect that it may be up to two (2) hours at the shelter to process an adoption, including meeting pets, an adoption consultation, and waiting periods. Wait times may be significantly longer on weekends.

Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the only open door shelter in Portland. We are the primary agency responsible for lost pet care, animal abuse investigations and animal rescue in Multnomah County. We also offer dog and cat licensing, lost and found pet services, and animal adoptions through our shelter in Troutdale. MCAS is a division of the Multnomah County Department of Community Services (DCS).
