My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Buddha is in a foster home. ***

Buddha: solid gray, long hair, neutered male, born approx. 7/1/10, #19269

Cats: nope
Dogs: nope
Children: calmer kids likely fine

BACKGROUND: Buddha was rescued by a veterinarian. When she was closing her practice, she reached out to The Rescue House to ask if we could help him find a loving home. When he arrived in our care, we noticed that Buddha’s eyes were always dilated. A veterinary eye specialist determined that he has iris atrophy, though there is no recommended treatment; his bloodwork came back great!

PERSONALITY: This magnificently fluffy senior boy is the ultimate chill companion kitty. Buddha knows how to find the coziest spot in the house – and if that’s in your lap, get ready for endless snuggles! He’s a bundle of calm whose vibe is pure relaxation and blissful happy energy. He loves to be close to his people and getting pets on his head and neck; sometimes he’ll roll over for a belly rub, too. Buddha can be self-sufficient and particularly likes a sunny room with warm rays beaming in for him to bask in through the day. He’ll chirp a hello to you if he decides he wants to be stroked. Buddha appreciates some time to get used to new people and places, and then once he gets to know you he’ll be your close calming buddy.

COMPATIBILITY: Buddha must be your only fur-child. He has no interest in sharing space with either cats or dogs. Calmer kids may be fine once everyone gets introduced.

Ready to meet your new best friend? Buddha’s all about radiating good vibes, and he’s waiting to curl up and share his mellow magic with you!
