Meet Bandit, a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Bandit, a puppy with a heart as big as his spirit. Despite his shy demeanor, Bandit is a friend to all. His sweetness is evident in his gentle interactions with everyone he meets. Bandit is always eager to make friends, displaying his friendly nature with a wag of his tail. He`s a quick learner, too, always ready to master new tricks for a treat or two. His shyness doesn`t stop him from showing his love. Bandit`s charming personality shines through in everything he does. This little guy has a lot of love to give and he`s waiting for the perfect family to share it with. Bandit will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We don’t know how he will do with cats.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
