My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Five Dollar Biggie Bag. I'm just a young kitty with a big heart. I love making friends, especially with other cats. We have so much fun playing together. I'm a sweet soul who loves to give and receive affection. I'm always ready to curl up for a nap or chase a toy mouse. I have a friendly nature that makes me a joy to be around. I promise to bring so much love and happiness into your home. If you're looking for a companion who will always be there to brighten your day, I'm your girl.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
