My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm just a young kitty with a heart full of sweetness and friendliness. I love making new friends, especially if they're fellow felines. We can spend hours playing and napping together. I'm pretty easy-going and I adapt quickly to new surroundings. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and joy. So, why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to fill your life with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love. I'm ready to be your purrfect companion.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
