My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.

Parsley is on the at risk list for medical reasons. She has a severe upper respiratory tract infection and a poor appetite. Due to her high stress in shelter, she only tolerates minimal treatments. She needs a quiet home to recover.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My favorite pastime is being visually admired! Pet me with your eyes!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

A volunteer writes: With a shift of her ears, Parsley explains she'd like to talk but with some space. She's been feeling a little unsure of things, so when I last walked by her condo, I wasn't surprised to see only her den. A few minutes later when I was visiting with one of her neighbors, she popped out for a snack and was admittedly less than thrilled to see me standing there, but still chose the snack. Now, it's very clear to all of us that Parsley doesn't love the Care Center but of course there's more to her than what we see. She has been decidedly uninterested in pets, but seems to appreciate some soft conversation, which may help her feel safer and more comfortable. We don't know too much about her history prior to coming to the Care Center and it's possible that all the comings and goings have her feeling a little overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Parsley would love to find a home where her family will welcome her with the love and patience she needs.
