My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Willow! ðŸ\x90¾
Born on November 14, 2024, Willow is an 11-pound bundle of joy with a heart as big as her paws! This sweet shepherd/lab mix is full of energy and curiosity, always ready to explore her world and make new friends. With her soulful eyes and playful personality, Willow is sure to win you over in an instant.

At just 10 weeks, she’s already showing off her sharp mind and love for adventure—whether she’s running after toys, discovering new scents, or cuddling up for some quiet time. Willow’s loving and affectionate nature makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup to join their family. As she grows, her intelligence and eagerness to please will make her a fantastic sidekick for outdoor adventures and cuddle sessions alike.

Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
