My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“There’s just something about dogs that makes you feel good." This reminds us of Toast - we truly enjoy his company.

Why we love him: Toast is such a congenial companion!

Toast is one year old and weighs 28 pounds.

He is such a sweet and gentle soul!

Toast trots companionably at your side on daily walks. He also has the best time in the fenced yard, where he zooms around and loves to play. Toast especially enjoys playing with his shelter buddy Butter.

We love spending time with Toast, and he enjoys being petted and loved on. He is such a great young dog!

He is a bright dog who should do well with training. Toast will already sit on command and really appreciates the reward of a treat for his efforts!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
