Lovely Kiara is three years old and weighs 63 pounds.
Kiara enjoys sitting close by your side to be petted and loved on. She was a bit shy when she arrived at the shelter, and it has been wonderful to see her gain confidence and blossom with the attention and affection from our devoted staff and volunteers. She is such a sweetheart and loved by everyone she meets!
One of our volunteers reports: "My daughters (9 and 7) and their friend (7) walked with Kiara today and she is the best! Kiara was super comfortable with them, happy to take treats, and didn’t mind their unpredictable running and joy. She is an absolutely wonderful and patient dog."
Kiara loves being close by your side on daily walks and has such fun playing in the fenced yard.
Kiara wants to please and should do well with training.
Kiara will be the perfect dog to be at your side during the day and to curl up at your feet at night.

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!
All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
