My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I’m Afton. I’m a sweet girl with a sleek, black coat and bright green eyes. I’m a shy girl that is looking for a patient home. I’ll need a home that lets me come out of my shell at my own pace. Right now, I’m a very independent girl, but that could change as I get older and more comfortable. Don’t let my shy nature fool you though, I am incredibly sweet! I’m only six months old, so I still have plenty of kitten energy. I love playing with other cats and they’ve helped me get comfortable in my foster home. I’ll need to go to a home that has another cat or kitten to show me the ropes. With slow introductions, I’ve done well with the dogs in my foster home. I’m looking for an indoor only home that will let me have my space and offer me lots of treats and patience as I learn what it means to be a loved family member. If you have any questions, please email Lauren.johnson14@aol.com. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fully fill out an application at https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/laurenj
