My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: Poptart is living with kidney disease, but he's thriving on a specialized kidney diet.  ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Introducing Poptart, a lovable senior boy who is approximately 15 years young and weighs in at a perfect 10 lbs for snuggling! Poptart is on the lookout for his forever family, where he can bask in love and attention during his golden years.

This sweet soul thrives on companionship and is known for his gentle nature. Whether he’s napping peacefully or enjoying leisurely walks, Poptart is always ready to share his warmth and affection. He walks beautifully on a leash, making outings a delightful experience for both of you!

Poptart may be a senior, but he still has plenty of love to give and enjoys life to the fullest. His heart is as big as his cuddles, and he’s eager to find a home where he can feel safe and cherished.

Are you ready to open your heart and home to this precious pup? Poptart is waiting to meet you! Apply to adopt this sweet boy today and make his golden years the best they can be! --

Where did he come from: He was surrendered to our rescue when his family no longer had enough time to devote to him.

 Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 10.4 lbs. Approximate age: 11/29/2009

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
