Name: Timon Best Guess for Breed: Golden retriever and shepherd mix
Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of January 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 58 lbs as of 1/23/25; he likely has a bit more to grow
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them.
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Timon is Looking For: His forever home! Through no fault of his own this handsome cutie landed in the shelter. He's not long out of puppyhood and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed! Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved.
Shelter staff say he is very sweet, just a big 'ol puppy. He's hung out with other dogs in playgroup and was good - he's submissive to other dogs.
Timon promises so many adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one you have been looking for?
