Meet Midnight Mama!

Midnight Mama was pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program.

Midnight Mama and her babies were at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space at an extremely overcrowded and underfunded urban shelter. We were honored to step in and give this mama and her 5 (12 day old) puppies a happy ending 💕

Midnight Mama is a 1 year Labrador retriever mixed breed who is too cute for words! Midnight mama and her puppies were originally surrendered to the other shelter due to her owner being arrested, followed by the other person in the home having a stroke and no longer being able to care for herself or the dogs.

Despite all of this, Midnight Mama happily greets every person with a tail wag, and proudly shows off her puppies that she’s done such a good job taking care of! She is ready for a fresh start and a life of love like she deserves❣️

As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY
