My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl is Venus. Venus is a 10 week old black lab mix. She is the smallest of the bunch and has such a fun personality! She would be a lap dog for the rest of her life if you allowed her to. She LOVES to cuddle and will crawl up onto your shoulder if you sit on the ground by her. Venus loves playing with her siblings and running around in the snow. She would benefit from lots of exercise and people and other pets to play with. Venus has spent time with and is great with large dogs, cats and kids of all ages. We recommend a fenced in yard for this fun loving puppy.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A puppy's adoption fee is $350. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
