My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $460 + taxes
Location: Foster Home

Dreamer is a sweet and playful girl who’s ready to find her loving forever home. She’s a smart pup who’s already mastered several commands, making training an absolute joy. Her favorite activities include playing fetch and tug-of-war—her love language in action! Dreamer is eager to please and enjoys going on walks, where her lively spirit shines.

While Dreamer is a wonderful companion, she’s still working on managing her separation anxiety. She’ll thrive with a patient and understanding adopter who can provide structure, plenty of enrichment, and a comforting routine to help her feel secure when left alone.

Dreamer would do best as the only dog in the home or with a calm, patient canine companion. She does well with slow, controlled introductions to other dogs.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and energetic companion to share life’s adventures, Dreamer might be the perfect match for you. Could you be her forever family?

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
