My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Haley, a beautiful 6-month-old Jindo mix with a lovely cream-coloured coat, currently weighing 10.5kg. As the sibling of Delta and Berry, Haley has a sweet and gentle personality that’s sure to win you over. While she may be a bit shy at first, a few treats are all it takes to break the ice. Though cautious with strangers, she warms up within 3–7 days and becomes a wonderful companion. She’s especially great with children under 13 and is calm and trusting enough to be picked up and carried comfortably.

Haley’s social nature extends to other dogs, too. She eagerly approaches both familiar and unfamiliar pups, greeting them with a wagging tail and a playful invitation. Whether the other dog is big, small, or somewhere in between, Haley is friendly and approachable. If another dog tries to provoke her, she simply avoids confrontation. She feels most at ease when other dogs are around, often looking to them for reassurance and confidence.

During walks, Haley might notice a cat and look on with curiosity, but her focus quickly shifts back to her human with gentle guidance. She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor activities but knows how to relax and unwind at home afterward. While she may pull on the leash occasionally, she’s overall a good follower and adapts well to her person’s pace.

Haley has excellent manners—she doesn’t guard her food, rarely barks, and rides calmly in a kennel. She’s even learned how to hop in and out of the car on her own! Haley is flexible with her bathroom habits, comfortably using both pee pads indoors and doing her business outdoors.

If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable pup who thrives on love and companionship, Haley is ready to steal your heart. Could she be the perfect addition to your family?

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
