Name: Sunny Best Guess for Breed: Australian cattle dog - red heeler type mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of January 2025 SEX: Male
Estimated Weight: 35 lbs as of 1/26/25; he's still growing!
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them.
Currently Living at: Texas shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Sunny is Looking For: Her forever home! Through no fault of his own this cutie landed in the shelter. He's at the tail end of puppyhood and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up - he's got all that awesome young-dog energy to burn. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together.
Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is Sunny the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once this pup has arrived in the DC area and spent some time in foster care.
Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
