My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mabel! This sweet 1.5 year-old, 38-pound girl is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. She’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and adores chew toys—especially ones with squeakers to discover! Her gentle, loving nature makes her a wonderful cuddle buddy, though she’s still learning a few manners (like not jumping up), but she’s always soft and polite about it.

This medium-sized sweetheart walks nicely on a leash with no pulling and would thrive with a bit more training. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, she’s ready to fill your life with love!

More about this rescue

At Halfway There Rescue, we are a volunteer-run organization dedicated to making a difference for animals in North and South Carolina. Our mission focuses on reducing overcrowding in local open intake shelters while promoting the importance of spaying and neutering through community partnerships. We work tirelessly to provide compassionate care, foster opportunities, and life-saving interventions for pets in need. By engaging with the community, we aim to create a future where every animal has a safe, loving home. Together, we can reduce the burden on shelters and ensure a brighter future for all.
