My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shane

Domestic Shorthair, Born in October 2024, Black, Neutered male

Shane needs to be adopted into a home with another young playful cat.

Hi there! My name is Shane, and I’m an active, playful kitten with a luxurious long black coat that will absolutely steal your heart. My fur is soft, shiny, and perfect for petting—and trust me, I love being petted!

I’m full of curiosity and always exploring every nook and cranny. I have lots of energy, but also like a good cuddle session making me the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. My favorite toys are balls, track toys, and wand toys, and I’m always up for a game.

I’m a total lap kitty and love being picked up, brushed, and showered with affection. My foster human says I’m great with kids, other cats, and pretty much anyone who comes to visit. When I first arrived at my foster home, I settled in immediately—I hopped out of the carrier, started purring, and rubbed against my foster human for attention.

If you’re looking for a loving companion with a stunning long black coat and a playful personality, I’m your guy. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to make your home brighter, cozier, and full of purrs!

Purrsonality Traits: Active, Curious, Playful, Affectionate

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
