Meet Halsey!

Halsey is an adorable 2-month-old terrier/hound mix with a playful spirit and a heart full of love! Weighing just 14 pounds, this happy-go-lucky pup has a silly and loving personality that will brighten even the gloomiest of days.

Halsey is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. She’s still learning the ropes of crate and house training but is making progress every day. At her young age, she hasn’t started leash training yet, but with her eagerness to learn, she’ll be ready to join you on adventures soon.

Rescued from a small kill shelter, Halsey is now looking for a family to give her the love and care she deserves. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of happy energy—a perfect match for an active family or someone looking for a lively companion.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

We're open to the public Saturdays from 10am - 2pm. Appointments are available during the week.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
