My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.

Get ready to fall head over heels for Sandy, an 11-pound bundle of love and energy! At just 1.5 years old, this cheerful Chihuahua mix is packed with personality and will fill your home with joy, zoomies, and cuddles. Sandy is a happy-go-lucky pup who adores being around people and thrives on attention and affection. She’s incredibly loving and will happily curl up in your lap or snuggle under the covers for some downtime after a day of fun. But don’t let her tiny size fool you—this little lady has a big spirit and a high-energy playstyle! Whether she’s running circles in the yard, showing off her zoomies, or proudly wearing her favorite sweater, Sandy is always eager to please and ready for action. What’s particularly adorable about Sandy? She loves being the queen of the high ground, often seeking a perch up high so she can watch the world. She’s also a big fan of chewing on toys, nibbling on chicken jerky, and running with her doggy pals. Sandy is pretty much housetrained when she has access to a doggy door and responds well to her name. While she’s not quite leash-trained yet, she’s eager to learn and is great about riding in the car. Though shy and cautious when meeting new people, she warms up quickly, revealing her affectionate, loving nature. Sandy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run and burn off her energy. She does great with dogs of all sizes and would love a home with other canine companions to play with. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or young kids, her sweet, adaptable personality suggests she’ll fit in just fine with the right introduction. Sandy is ready to find her forever family—a home where she’ll get plenty of affection, playtime, and snuggles. If you’re looking for a spirited, lovable little companion to brighten your days,  Sandy is waiting to meet you!

Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Feb 1st from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
