A25241 Chino is a brown colored, approximately 14-year-old, 10-pound, neutered male, Chihuahua.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 01-25-2025 due to the fact his elderly owner had medical issues making it impossible for them to take care of him.
Chino is a friendly, calm and quiet boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as a sweet, snuggly old man who loves people. They say he loves to be carried and snuggled, and he is always ready to give a kiss. He was easy to leash and well-behaved during walks. He does prefer to be carried though. He doesn’t respond to any commands, but he behaves well and has good manners, just typical small dog behavior. He loves lying on his blanket and sleeping or being snuggled up in your lap. He will be the perfect companion to sit and watch TV with and snuggle. Chino will be a loving companion in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
