A25314 Bruno is a black and tan with white colored, approximately 2-year-old, 29-pound, neutered male, Border Collie mix.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 01-28-2025 due to the fact they could no longer afford to have a pet.
Bruno is a friendly, timid and shy boy here at the shelter. He is new to the shelter and trying to figure out what is going on. Our staff says he is scared and backs away when you open the kennel. But with a little patience he loves affection and will lean into you when you are petting him. He was easy to leash but we could not get him to walk on a leash, he had to be carried. In addition, he will need some training as he doesn’t respond to any commands. He has no interest in other dogs outside the kennel. But he is housed with 2 other small dogs, and they get along great. Bruno will be a loving companion in his new forever home.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
