Hi there, my name is Ryka! I`m a three year-old female terrier mix, and I`m looking for a FOREVER home and a happy ending to my story! You see, I was brought to the shelter in 2023 because I was running loose with my friend, and one of us bit someone, so we had to spend time in K9 quarantine. I went back home after quarantine, but I was still allowed to run loose, and now I`ve ended up back here again after they surrendered me because they could no longer properly take care of their animals. I really need someone to give me a chance and a loving home where I will be safe and taken care of. I`m already spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, so I`m ready to go! I do have heartworms though, so my person will need to get me treated with those. But don`t worry, there are affordable options to help me get rid of them, but I need your help to do it. It`s harder for dogs like me to get adopted, so you`re really my last hope. I would love to have some toys and a comfy bed all my own, and a fenced-in yard to keep me safe is a must! Please consider giving me a chance! Once I feel safe and loved, my personality will blossom, and you will see what a good girl I really am! Oh, and if you have a dog already, you can bring them to meet me to make sure that we get along. Please don`t wait too long to come to the shelter and meet me.....I`m really counting on you to help me!

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
