Meet Xerox – Your Future Adventure Buddy & Velcro Companion!

Xerox is a 4-5 month old Doberman Pinscher with a heart as big as his puppy paws. When he was rescued from the shelter, he was barely 20 pounds—skinny, scared, and unsure of the world. But fast forward a couple of weeks, and this boy has discovered the joy of play, cuddles, and full-blown Doberman energy. He’s now a healthy 35 pounds and growing fast!

Daily Routine – AKA, Xerox’s Puppy Agenda

Xerox is an early riser—we’re talking before the sun early! His day starts with a potty break, some playtime, and breakfast at 5:30 AM (which he will remind you about, loudly). After fueling up, he heads outside for a good romp with his foster brother, Lucian, a 7-year-old Doberman who has taken him under his wing. During the day, Xerox relaxes in his crate while his humans are at work, with a midday play session to break things up. By 3:30 PM, it’s time for another round of outdoor zoomies or a walk, followed by dinner at 4:30 PM (again, he will make sure you don’t forget). Evenings are for family time, snuggles, and recharging for another day of fun!

Personality – From Timid to Totally Thriving

When Xerox first arrived, he was afraid of everything—even doorways. But with a little love (and some help from Lucian), he has transformed into a happy, bouncy, affectionate pup. He’s discovered that life is actually pretty awesome—especially when there are cuddles involved. Xerox now loves kisses, enjoys belly rubs, and has even mastered the “give me a kiss” command (because, of course, he aims to please). He’s a classic Velcro Doberman, always keeping an eye on his humans and sticking close. However, his absolute favorite thing? Following Lucian around like a little shadow and copying everything his big foster brother does!

Social Life – Making Friends & Winning Hearts

Xerox is great with other dogs and adores playing with them. He met his foster family’s 11- and 13-year-old nephews, and they instantly became best friends. He even let them take him on a walk to the park, proving that he’s the perfect mix of playful and chill. When he visited a friend’s house with a Bernese Mountain Dog, he had the time of his life—and now, he happily hops into the car, excited for any new adventure.

Training & Smart Puppy Things

Xerox is crate trained and learning house manners, though he still has the occasional accident (we’re working on it!). Since he was likely potty pad trained before, he’s getting used to doing his business on grass instead of your favorite door mat. He’s food-motivated and super smart, already mastering 'sit' and working on 'off' for his excited puppy jumps. And speaking of food—this boy eats like it’s a competitive sport! A special slow-feeder bowl helps him pace himself, but he will never, ever, ever let you forget mealtime.

What Makes Xerox Special?

Xerox is the total package—sweet, playful, loving, and eager to please. He has overcome so much in a short time, and now he’s ready for a forever home that will continue to help him thrive. He’d love another dog to show him the ropes, but most importantly, he wants a family that will cuddle him, train him, and take him on fun adventures.

If you’re looking for a loving, fun, and ridiculously adorable Velcro pup, Xerox is ready to copy your every move (and steal your heart). Apply to adopt him today!

Xerox would like to find a home with another dog. If there are children in the home they need to be over the age of 5.
