Dog's Name: Baby Puck (PUC0125JNSMD)
Estimated Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier mix
Approximate Age: 8 weeks
Approximate Weight: 3 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Baby Puck! Puck is one of three puppies (Baby Glitter, Baby Zipper and Baby Puck) born to mom, Rummy. Rummy is a sweet three-year-old and 11-pound Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier mix (picture included). This tiny family came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Johnson City, Tennessee. Living in a shelter is no life for a mom and her pups, fortunately K-9 Lifesavers has rescued them. Puck has landed an amazing foster home, but what he wants more than anything is to find his forever people. Could that be with you? Puck is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. He does great with other dogs too. At his young age, Puck is in his prime for training and socialization. He will grow to be a wonderful family member for years to come. Submit an application today and change this very deserving boy's life forever!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
