You can’t have Calvin without his famous sidekick, Hobbes! Just like the tiger from the comics, this handsome boy is striped and oh so silly. It’s hard to believe that he has no home, but he’s come a long way from where he started.
Hobbes was rescued from the guillotine just hours before his time. A local animal lover had spotted him on the euthanasia list at a local shelter and decided they would be the one to step in and change his fate. Now, Hobbes resides in their care along with his buddy, Calvin, as he searches for his forever family!
Hobbes is a sweet dog who has a little ways to go with his confidence. While he has settled in quickly at his foster home, he is still learning to walk on his leash and stand tall in new spaces. That said, he loves treats, snuggling up on the couch, and chilling with the other resident dogs on the patio! Hobbes has great house-manners and he comes out of his shell a little more every day. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
