My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our big boy Reuben! Reuben is a big and playful teddy bear who absolutely loves to run around, eat snackies and sniff absolutely everything! He has played will with other dogs who like to wrestle! Reuben has an adorable smooshy face that has caught the eye of all staff here at LKNH. Although Reuben is energetic he can also be a serious couch potato for how often he naps! This kid would do great in a home that provides adequate exercise, mental stimulation and major cuddles! Oh! Don't forget someone who has lots of snacks to hand out!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Lake Norman Humane utilizes a conversational approach to the adoption process to help find the best match for your household. Please stop in to speak with an adoption counselor Tuesday-Friday between 12:00PM-6:00PM and on Saturday between 12:00PM-4:00PM.

Go meet their pets

We welcome visitors during our business hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Please note that the last tours are taken back 30 minutes before closing.

No appointment is needed to stop by during these hours! Upon arrival, you’ll complete a short adopter profile, and our team will pair you with an adoption counselor to help find your perfect match.

We offer same-day adoptions, but if you have a dog at home, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility.

Our facility is located at:
2106 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117

We look forward to helping you find your new furry family member!
