My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Patty & Tilly – Bonded Sisters Looking for a Forever Home!

Patty and Tilly are two sweet, spunky chihuahuas who found themselves in a difficult situation. Rescued from a large-scale dog hoarding case in Wisconsin, these adorable sisters are ready to begin their next chapter in a loving and patient home.

Both Patty and Tilly are spayed, fully vetted, and have had extensive dental work due to the neglect they faced in their past. As a result, they will need to stay on a soft-food diet for the rest of their lives, but that doesn’t stop them from being full of love!

While they’re still learning how to enjoy life as happy, healthy dogs, Patty and Tilly thrive in a calm environment where they can feel safe and secure. They are best suited for a home with other dogs their size, as larger dogs can be overwhelming for them. A quieter household with older or young adult children would be ideal, as younger kids may be too much for these shy girls to handle.

Patty and Tilly are bonded sisters who have grown so close over time, and they would love to continue to be together in a forever home where they can continue their journey of healing. If you’re ready to give these precious girls the second chance they truly deserve, please visit eastshoreha.org to submit an application.

Once approved, our staff will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet – just a reminder, Patty and Tilly are in foster care, so please don’t visit the shelter without an appointment.

We can`t wait to see these sweet girls find the loving home they`ve been waiting for!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
