My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Delilah and I’m looking for a new home due to my family needing to move.

I have been a joy for them and I grew up in New York City as well as Austin, Texas. I’m a Black Lab and Greyhound mix and am very sporty.

I love backyards, dog parks, hikes, mountain ranges, chasing squirrels, the snow and camping, but I also love just relaxing on the couch and snuggling.

I am housetrained and do well left alone in the house.

I love going for runs so would do best with an active family and older children.

I love treats and know basic commands and even a trick which includes putting a treat on my paw and I will wait until you tell me it’s ok to eat it!

Some things to know about me: I can be scared of the sound of the vacuum cleaner, thunder and hide under the covers or under a table. Also, I would do better fed separately from other pets.

I’m a sweet girl looking for an active, loving family to call my forever home!

Delilah is currently being fostered in San Antonio, Texas and is waiting for a furever home or a committed foster to book her ticket on the PJ to Denver, Colorado.

Submit Application

Submit foster application if you only wish to foster, and an adoption application if you wish to adopt or foster with the intent of adoption

Meet the Pet

After your app is submitted, we will reach out to have a conversation and schedule a time for you to meet the pet

3.
Approve Application

If you decide to move forward after the meet and greet we will officially approve your application

4.
Take the Pet Home

After your app is approved, we will complete foster or adoption paperwork and you will take the pet home

Additional adoption info

We offer foster-to-adopt period of 2 weeks before finalizing the adoption to ensure that the animal is the right fit for you.
