My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Bingo!**

Bingo is a sweet and soulful pup who’s ready to find a forever home where he can truly shine. We think he’s a husky/pit mix, around 1 to 2 years old, weighing about 50 lbs. With his adorable face, mellow energy, and love for cuddles, Bingo will quickly win your heart!

While he might be a little wary of new people at first—especially men—he warms up quickly once he knows he’s safe. Sadly, his past wasn’t always kind, and he bears a few scars from being attacked by other dogs. But you’d never guess it by his gentle nature. He’s great with the dogs he currently lives with (a Brittany mix and a Doberman) and is curious about the cat but never aggressive. He even shares his beloved bones like a true gentleman!

Bingo is well-behaved indoors and would do just fine in an apartment. He pulls a little on leash but is improving every day. He’s had one accident in the house, but he's making great progress with house training. He’s already learned 'sit' and 'go to your bed' with ease, showing how smart and eager to please he is. He’ll thrive with continued basic training and positive reinforcement.

This cuddle bug has a real submissive, loving attitude with his foster family and adores kids. He’d love a furry friend in his new home, especially one as kind as his foster sister, whom he absolutely adores.

Bingo’s favorite things? Cuddling up with his humans, chewing on bones, and simply being near the people and pets he trusts. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart as big as his smile, Bingo might just be your perfect match!

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
