My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rexie is a sweet and social 10-month-old pitbull puppy with a beautiful fawn-colored coat and a heart full of love! She was found at a construction site during a cold snap in Chicago, but thankfully, a kind-hearted samaritan rescued her just in time. Now, she’s ready to find her forever home!

This playful girl is absolutely obsessed with her stuffie toys—she can entertain herself for hours, happily tossing them around and cuddling them close.

As a young pup, Rexie still needs a little training, but don’t let that worry you—she’s super smart and picks up new things quickly. With some guidance and love, she’s sure to thrive!

Rexie would love to have another dog friend to wrestle and play with. She’s full of energy and excitement and would do great in a home where she can stay active and engaged.

If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and resilient puppy to add to your family, Rexie would love to meet you!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
