My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie is a sweet, 7-year-old, 55-pound girl who has made incredible progress since arriving in her foster home. She quickly learned to use the doggie door and has had zero accidents or destructive behavior. Frankie gets along wonderfully with other dogs, like her foster siblings Kasey and Lucy, and has already mastered the “sit” and “down” commands. She has fantastic manners when it comes to treats!

Despite being shy at first, Frankie has blossomed into a total snuggle bug. She’s been free-roaming while her foster works with no issues, and she’s so quiet that she hasn’t barked once! She does like calmer dogs and she enjoys time with her mama and doesn’t want it intruded on. She’d love a low-key household where she can be the top dog.

Frankie does great in the car and is always ready for new adventures. Frankie is looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to share her calm and affectionate nature.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
