Khaleesi was found by Victoria Animal Control extremely pregnant with no place to call home. They took her in and right away noted an upper respiratory infection congested eyes so badly they could barely open. They began helping her heal and provided her all the TLC to help her birth and raise her babies safely. Unfortunately her eyes did not seem to clear up. Upon further assessment it was determined that she has a medical condition called entropion, which causes the eyelid to roll inward and eyelashes to rub against the surface of her eyeballs. It causes pain and vision issues. There is corrective surgery which helps immensely, but the shelter does not have the funds to cover the surgery. That's where LWHA came in to help. We are working hard to raise funds for her surgery and find her a wonderful forever family! In spite of the pain she is in, she loves all people and wants be a part of the scene at all times. She is not the greatest on a leash but she is working on that. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves to wrestle with other dogs but does want to be the dominant one. We would recommend a home where she got to be the center of attention or had furbabies that were more of the submissive type. Excellent with cats and children! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
