Prince Charming is a gentle, affectionate cat who truly lives up to his name. While he may take a moment to warm up, once he does, he’s all about love. He will happily flop over for a belly rub and he's always up for snuggling under a cozy blanket on the couch. Playful and social, he loves chasing toys up and down the hall. He enjoys being near his people and gets along well with the family dog, always wanting to be part of the group. Well-mannered and tidy, he uses his scratching post and litter box like a pro. Whether he’s playing or napping near his favorite humans, Prince Charming is a true sweetheart.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
