Mr. Brightside is a friendly, outgoing guy who is ready to find a home where he can soak up all the attention and play with all the toys! At just a few years young, he has plenty of energy and loves to make human friends. Despite his strong and gruff exterior, he has the quietest and most adorable tiny squeak when he wants attention. It will melt your heart before you know it!

When he is not playing with mouse toys and crinkle balls he is content to cuddle up in bed and enjoy some well-earned Z's with his people. Mr. Brightside will do best as the only feline in the home, he can be a little over-zealous with playtime. This handsome boy has more than earned a life of comfort and affection. We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
