Please contact Sarah Maraschky (sarahm@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.little guy with lots of love!GIZMO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Gizmo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (July 7th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!     Name:  Gizmo        Best Guess for Breed:  Basset hound and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  2.5 years as of May 2024        SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:   35 lbs   Gets Along With:   Gizmo loves to make doggie friends at the dog park and on walks. However, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Gizmo has lived with cats in his foster home and done well, and we are happy to give tips and tricks for introducing him to your kitty. Due to his shy personality, he may not go to a home with children under the age of 12.    Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility. Gizmo needs a foster or forever home!  Special adoption considerations: Due to his shy personality, we do not recommend Gizmo for a home with children under the age of 12.   Gizmo is Looking For:  His forever home! Meet Gizmo. What this sweet boy lacks in legs he makes up for in love. His short stature doesn't stop him from running, playing, and making new friends at the dog park. While he's always up for an adventure, he's just as happy to lay on the couch and snuggle during a rainy day, making him the perfect work from home buddy. He promises he'll try not to steal the show during your zoom meetings. Gizmo is a super smart cookie (who also happens to love cookies) so he would love to work on his obedience training, too! It'll help build his confidence and bond with his new pet parents. Most of all, Gizmo just wants to know he is safe and loved in his forever home.  What My Foster Says About Me: Gizmo has so much love to give and he deserves someone to love him back. He’s a great running partner, he’s doing great running on leash. We had 2 runs today and interacted with some pups along the way and he was very gentle to them. He gets attached very easily, he follows me everywhere around the house. I am sure that there’s nothing he can’t overcome with love and patience. Also biiig nap lover, if it wasn’t for his silly running, I would say he’s a lap dog.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
