Story
Rowley is a true cuddle-bug. While he has a bit of a mischievous streak, none of that matters when he snuggles in next to you. Or on you. Your heart will become a glorious warm puddle in your chest. He is beautifully socialized and pretty much bomb proof. His mischief includes mostly trying to steal food from the table, knocking over trash cans and squirreling his toys (and others’ toys) in his crate. He’s tall enough to look on the counter, but not tall enough to get more than a sniff. (If there’s a chair nearby, though, he is not afraid of scaling heights to get to the plate of french fries you’ve foolishly left on the counter!) He doesn’t chew anything inappropriate and has been sleeping happily all night curled up next to his foster mom on her bed. He is a strong dog who needs someone who can keep hold of his leash on walks, since he pulls to explore all the smells. He gets along with other dogs, but might be happiest as an only dog, because then he’ll get all the attention. He will bark at noises outside, but is happy to meet new people. He’ll be a great addition to any family. Story
Stumpy-Bassett Hound/Labrador Retriever (Bassador) male, ~ 1-2 yr. (March 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application to adopt. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Hi, Im Luke! Ive had a bit of a rough start, and Im still learning to trust people, but Im making progress every day. I can be a little nervous at first and need some time to warm up, so I would probably do best in a calm, patient home where I can take things at my own pace. Im hoping to find a loving family who can give me the time I need to blossom into the sweet, loving boy I know I can be. The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give. Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
This precious purebred Beagle girl just turned 10 years old and for the last 9 years this girl was a girl who was used as a taste tester dog for a dog food manufacturer.  In October of 2023 this girl was adopted with the great hopes of giving her the many last years of her life a new life with a family who could provide that special home she never has had.  For 15 months all was going well for her.  A quiet girl that weighs 22 pounds and is very petite for a Beagle, she learned how to be loved and give love right back.  She lived with another dog and went to work some days with her mom.  Coffee Bean was all set until a new baby entered the home and then her world changed.  She shut down and retreated and hid from her human mom and dad there in the home.  It was apparent that this girl was sadly not comfortable with a baby in the house.  This loving couple can see that Coffee Bean needs to find a different home soon so that she can readjust and find peace and quiet.  She is so very affectionate and sweet and we think that CB would be the delightful companion for a retired couple or woman who lives alone and wants to have Coffee Bean as her new best friend!  She does well with male dogs, but with female dogs she will have issues if they are bigger than her (smaller breeds are fine). She lived in a kennel for 9 years and so she was not required to be PERFECT in life.  She's done well to tolerate the cat and should be fine with another cat if required.  We envision a home where someone is home a lot or can take this girl with them places.  She craves the companionship and will not do well being home alone for long hours while someone is away at work.  A  retired family where she could be a couch potato and a nice yard for her to do her beagle running and sniffing would be fabulous.  She is not a frequent barker, just the usual alerts when someone is at the door or a squirrel has entered the yard uninvited.  She just loves everybody and wants nothing but pets and cuddles!  This lovely girl is gentle and very soft in her personality with people. She is not demanding and loud and just wants a more peaceful life during her senior years.  We project another good five years or more are in her future.  Want to invite this girl into your world?  Just email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is ready NOW! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 27, 2025, 11:33 pm

Story
Nash is one of those perfect family size pups that will fit in perfectly for any family with an active lifestyle, maybe a few young children that love to run and play and then snuggle while watching some special TV programs.  He was born around October 1st and he and his 3 siblings came to Critter Cavalry Rescue from a not so good environment and outdoor pen that was too small.  His personality is one of curiosity and excitement to learn new things and play with new people.   He is loving being inside a great foster home where he can sit on the sofa, play in a specious backyard with two fun girls over 10 years of age and then hang out with the older Beagle girls that belong to the foster family.  These puppies are always smiling and just happy to be getting the love and care that Critter Cavalry Rescue fosters promise to give. He is 25 pounds at 6 months and he is learning about potty training and crate training and how to be a little puppy gentleman while being part of the inside family activities.  He is not a runner but a fenced yard could be so safe and beneficial.  He needs training on the leash and could be so much fun to take on family hikes, or personal walks for the enjoyment of exercise and the ritual of exploring the great outdoors.  A fun event that showed just how adaptable Nash can be was when he attended a YMCA Puppy Yoga class and what fun it was.  He wandered amongst the Yoga participants saying hello and then discovering himself in the floor to ceiling mirrors that were all over the room.  He was fascinated with seeing himself. These were the most people he had been around in his life at one time!  He passed with flying colors and loved every minute as the hour came to a close and it was time to go home. He and his siblings did so well and they were so cute!!!  Sweet Nash has dreams in life and they are simple.  All he wants is to love his own people and to be loved in return.  A lifetime of promises await this little guy who will one day be a 35 pound adult that will be a treasure in your diary of the life and love of a dog.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state.  We are in Tennessee and adopt locally and also transport to the Northeastern corridor of states and meet the adopting families.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 25, 2025, 12:42 pm
