Please contact Lowell Nelson (lowelln@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Maggie-moo! MAGGIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Maggie      Best Guess for Breed:    Basset Hound Best Guess for Age:   2 yrs 4 months as of July 2024     Gender:    Female Approximate Weight:    34 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs;  not sure about kids and cats yet, but we can find out!  Currently Living At: Shelter, needs a foster or forever home!  Special Adoption Considerations: Maggie  is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Maggie is Looking For: A loving family ready to keep a big  smile on that wonderful hound face!  Maggie's up for anything--ready to run and play with you and any dogs she meets,  and relax on the couch when the playing is done.   She's ready to give sloppy basset hound kisses if you'd like to give her home!   What My Foster Says About Me: will update when she has a foster!  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.  Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Stumpy-Bassett Hound/Labrador Retriever (Bassador) male, ~ 1-2 yr. (March 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application to adopt. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Meet Queen B of the Q pups! Queen B is a lovely girl who is ready for her own family. While her breed is a mystery, her mom is about thirty pounds and we thing Queen B will about the same size. She and her siblings have loved life with mother, Baby and her foster mom. She is learning about all the good things in puppy life, like running around outside and getting lots of love from everyone she meets. Queen B does well with other dogs and is young enough to learn about cats. The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Jojo is a sweet and playful mixed breed girl looking for her forever home. This charming 5-year-cutie has a beautiful white and brindle coat. While she might need a minute to warm up to new faces and settings, once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly loving and loyal. Jojo is currently in a foster home where she's been showing off her good manners and vibrant personality. She loves to play and has a gentle, affectionate side that will melt your heart. Jojo enjoys being around her people and would thrive in a home where she can be a beloved member of the family. She's great on a leash, enjoys her daily walks, and is always up for some playtime in the yard. Her foster family reports that she's well-behaved indoors and loves snuggling up for some quality cuddle time. She's only 27 pounds so she won't take up much room on the couch! Jojo's ideal home would be one where she can continue to grow in confidence and be given plenty of love and attention. She loves other dogs and would love a dog companion in her forever home but may be okay as the star of her future family's eyes. Are you ready to give Jojo the loving home she deserves? Jojo is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Meet Drew! Drew is a three-year-old, 37 pound Beagle who is loving life in his foster home with his brother Ford. They are great in their crates, and learning the ropes with leash training and not jumping up! They love to be near you and will need a fenced in yard. They are now pros at using the doggy door into the backyard. Drew is an outgoing guy who loves to play with his foster siblings. He is quiet unless the other beagles get calling, and then he has to join in! Their favorite place to be is on the couch, on either side of their foster mom! These lovely pups will pay you back with all the beagle-snuggles you could ever want. They would be happy to be adopted together, but could also be happy if you have another dog to show them the ropes. Drew is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care.
