Jimmy is an 8 year old bagel, basset beagle mix, who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His humans went through a divorce. Jimmy is a real sweetheart, he is getting along great with the other dogs in his foster home and came from a home with kids. We have not cat tested him but wouldn't anticipate a problem as he is a timid guy. Jimmy is house broken and loves the security of his crate. He is being fostered near Dayton and his adoption fee is $200. He is up to date and neutered. If interested you must fill out the online application at ohiobassetrescue.com. Once you are approved out volunteer will give you a password that you need to email us with your contact info and that approval password. Guessing Easter Beagles in there also? We don't know much about these sweeties who we have named Jelly Bean and Skittles as they have lived outside their approximate 2 years of life! But don't be sad be GLAD because they are rescued!!! These ladies do not need to be adopted together and their fees are $250 each. They will require fenced in yards and patient loving families who help them acclimate to being loving indoor pets! They are currently in Columbus and needing foster or forever homes!!! Please apply on our website and if already approved email us and please tell us in your email if you are already approved or we will direct you to apply first! Welcome Betty Spaghetti ❤️ Born 8/6/24, 40lbs, spay female Betty is completely adorable, and a total sweet heart !! Our best guess on breed is Bassett Hound mix with Ridgeback or Weimaraner?? She is a low rider with the cutest little legs. Betty is great with dogs of all sizes. She has been gentle with children, and is most likely fine with kitties (we haven’t tested her yet). You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Gwen, a sweet and playful Basset mix with a heart full of love! Born around December 5th, 2024, She and her seven siblings were heartbreakingly abandoned on a country road, left to fend for themselves with nothing but weeds and twigs for food. For a couple of days, they stuck together, hoping for a miracle. At first, only three were found, but soon after, the remaining five bravely emerged in search of help. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan rescued them, giving them the chance at a life filled with love and care. Despite her rough start, Gwen has blossomed into a friendly and well-socialized pup who loves to play with her toys and friends. She’s a smart girl too – at just 8 weeks old, she was already using a doggy door like a pro! As of March 6th, 2025, Gwen weighs 15.3 pounds, and she’s expected to reach around 35 pounds when fully grown. She’s a fun-loving companion who’s ready to find her forever home. He is happiest chasing the other dogs in the yard!! He is living in a foster home & loves to run with the pack! He is a true dog park dog!  Brewie has a lovely singing voice & he will sing to you when he needs to go out or needs a snack! He is absolutely gorgeous & he definitely got the beauty but not the brains !! He’s a super sweet boy but he’s definitely not the smartest dog we’ve ever fostered!!   He makes up for his ditzy tendencies with a sweet & charming doofus like personality!  If you love hounds you’ll love him!  Apply to adopt him today!!
