Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Happy Hound!BOBO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Bobo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (01/26) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name:   Bobo         Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle, Hound Mix  Best Guess for Age:   1 year old as of December 2024         SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   24 lbs as of December 2024 - he is overweight and really needs to drop weight.    Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven’t seen Bobo with cats or kids, but he can be tested   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   From Bobo's foster:I fell in love with Bobo immediately when he came off the transport van. He has so much happy energy and eagerly greeted people and pups alike. In the car, he is just great. He settled onto the back seat and stayed in a down position the entire ride. When we get to our destination, he waits to be invited out. When we got home, he showed he has lived in one before - he knew what everything was, sniffed around confidently and then wanted to meet my dogs. He didn't have any accidents in the house and ran to the door whenever he needed to go out. And he really likes playing with squeaky toys! He doesn't chew on anything unauthorized - he sticks with dog toys.   He's good on leash - moves at a good clip along the edge of the sidewalk, sniffing occasionally, and is responsive to me.    He clearly was very well loved. He loves plopping down and begging for belly rubs. And he unfortunately was probably a little too well loved - he almost waddles because he's been getting a few too many treatos. Dropping a few pounds will help his agility significantly and protect his joints. Bobo is just an amazingly happy and loving little pup. He'll make a great addition to any home seeking a small, happy, snuggly companion.    Bobo is Looking For:    A wonderful loving home that will give him lots of cuddles and kisses. This houndy boy would enjoy going on long walks where he can sniff and enjoy the smells and sights with his forever family. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Meet Koda: Your Future Best Friend! Hi, I’m Koda! I’m a happy and curious 10-month-old Beagle boy weighing 20 pounds, and I’m on the lookout for my perfect forever home. I was recently adopted from a Nashville shelter, but my first home wasn’t quite the right fit. You see, I’m a Beagle, and like all Beagles, I have a lot of energy, love to “talk,” and need a safe, fenced-in yard to run, sniff, and enjoy the outdoors. My first owner lived in an apartment and didn’t realize how much I needed space to thrive, so I’m hoping to find a home that truly gets what I need to be my best Beagle self! Here’s what you should know about me:   I’m super friendly and love people—my happy personality is contagious!   Everyone says I’m adorable with my floppy Beagle ears and cute freckles.   I’m working on perfecting my potty schedule, but with patience and love, I’ll get it down.   I’m looking for a family that loves my Beagle howl and will help me grow into the best family pet ever.     I’m currently being fostered by an amazing couple who is helping me stay safe and happy until I find my forever family. About Critter Cavalry Rescue:   We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue based in Tennessee. As part of our mission, we transport animals like me to the Northeast weekly! If you’re located in the Northeast, check out our website at crittercavalry.com to learn more about our typical fees, drop-off points, and adoption process. If you have a great fenced yard, a love for Beagles, and the patience to help me shine, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Let’s see if we’re the perfect match!       #AdoptDontShop #BeagleLove #DogAdoption #CritterCavalryRescue   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 17, 2025, 10:01 pm

Story
This adorable 5 yr. Old, 32 pound Beagle girl is called Cozy, and she is just that, 'cozy', when it's time to settle in and snuggle while watching TV or just hanging out with you. as you work on the computer or read a book. She found herself in a very nice but small town shelter in Tennessee. And they are crazy about this sweet Beagle girl. She is such a well-rounded dog justi as we know beagles are.  She hangs on your every word and every kind gesture.   She adores people and attention, and will gladly learn commands.  We have found her to be wonderful with all other dogs and cats that she meets. She, of course, has her nose to the ground as she inspects any new areas of the playyard.  We think she is pretty much housebroken, and we know that she is smart.  Critter Cavalry would love to take her underwing and find an adopter, but first we need a foster home to place her with  or maybe we just can skip thaat part and have her go straight to an adopter!  Cozy needs out of the shelter.  Can you help our rescue? Take her out soon?   Please get in touch with us via email or text 615 661 5333  and email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   help us free Cozy! Story
Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome Boy Copper Needs a Foster or Forever Home! COPPER NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Copper        Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle/Hound Mix   Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years as of January 2025          SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   28 lbs as of January 2025   Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We have tested Copper with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Copper could live with a cat, he/she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We have not seen Copper with children, but can test him.   Currently Living at:   Shelter - Copper needs a foster to make his way to DC!   Special adoption considerations:    When Copper arrived in the shelter, he was very scared and shut down. However, he has been making great strides. We think Copper would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence.   Copper is Looking For:    A loving family to take him on long sniffy walks so he can put his hound nose to good use! Cooper wants nothing more than a safe and comfortable home with a bed of his own, a family to give lots of treats and pets, and lots of opportunities to play with fellow doggy friends. Do you have room in your home for this sweet boy? What My Foster Says About Me:    Coming soon! We will update this once Copper has spent time in his foster home.
